HOW TO FIX AIRPLANE MODE ERROR ON WINDOWS 10 There are several reasons why a computer might get stuck in airplane mode. Most of the time, the problem arises due to software defects or glitches, bad hardware, faulty network adapter, or a simple function switch.
When a problem like this arises, the first attempt is to restart the computer. Oftentimes, the source of the problem will reveal itself with its similar fix. Let’s go ahead.
HOW TO FIX AIRPLANE MODE ERROR ON WINDOWS 10
To get your Windows 10 out of aeroplane mode follow these steps. These steps start with the easiest solutions and move to more advanced alternatives.
1:A SIMPLE RESTART OF THE COMPUTER:
As I said earlier that the first attempt is to restart your computer system, it is the first logical thing to do when facing any problems on a computer system. Following this step will give you an option of what next to do if the problem is not fixed. There is nothing a simple reboot can’t fix.
2:TRY TO PUT ON AND OFF THE WIRELESS ADAPTER WITH KEYBOARD SHORTCUT:
There is a key on the keyboard called function keys it is represented as (FN). This is for the computers that don’t have the Wifi switch (Wifi switch is used to on and off Wifi connections).
Since these computers don’t have a Wifi switch they make use of keyboard shortcuts. Press the FN and any key that is a radio shape or signal or wireless key shape to check if it turns off or on. If it turns off that means you will be able to fix it.
If it doesn’t turn off then that means there is something wrong with the drive, this is where the next steps come in.
3. CHANGING OR UPGRADING THE NETWORK ADAPTER COMPLETELY:
How do you change the network adapter? You can go online and search for a good network adapter (Note: you may be using the wrong adapter or driver for the wireless or aeroplane).
So you have to download the correct network adapter that is changing. If you go online and discover a better network adapter, then you have to download it, it all depends on the name of the computer system. When you get a good adapter download and install it.
The installation is a whole other process on its own, there are some that don’t require any setup, you just download it and then you update it manually, but most of it is set up, you click on the setup and then update it automatically.
Now upgrading it is possible that the driver is outdated as in it expired so you have to upgrade it. Always make sure that the automatic window upgrade is always on your computer, if it is off, turn it on and let every upgrade be done on it. That should be able to fix it, but if it doesn’t fix it use the next step
4: CHANGING THE HARDWARE:
If all the steps mentioned above did not work this means that the network hardware or aeroplane hardware is damaged. This hardware is located inside the computer so it requires the help of a computer engineer to fix it. The hardware will be removed and changed completely.
There are other things you can do if you don’t want to change the hardware or upgrade the network adapter, I will recommend you use the above steps. But if you don’t want to then you can make use of these steps
⦁ You can reset the computer’s Built-in operating system (BIOS) to its default settings. This is only proposed for enhanced users. If this doesn’t work,
⦁ Then you have to reinstall Windows 10 using the Reset feature on the computer. Now, this is a huge step, so it should only be introduced as the last option. If you have no idea how to do this it is better to use the first steps I gave or give the computer to someone with advanced knowledge on issues like this.
⦁ As the final step, you can Consult Microsoft support. If none of the above solutions worked, contact Microsoft support to resolve the issue.
NOTE: These steps are easy to understand, but if you have no idea how to use any of the given procedures be sure to seek help from someone who can, that way you won’t add more issues to the current one.
