So this means, they need to be kept updated for your device to have smooth operations and that other programs, accessories, and apps will also function appropriately.

One of the causes attached to the inability to run or operate applications is because the driver is out of date.

Fortunately, Windows 10 happens to be an auto-updating system where drivers are automatically updated in the background, nevertheless it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make sure you are running on the latest updated driver.

1. Search for Device Manager using the Search Bar 

At the bottom left of the home screen, a Windows icon is located there, next to it is a search box. Type in “Device Manager” and then click on the program when it shows up.

If you don’t want this method you can alternatively find it through Start Menu, preferably you should search for it through the search box.

2. Pick a device you wish to update

After opening the Device Manager, a long list of diverse categories will be shown. Pick from the list any category to check the device it contains and select the device you want to update the driver

3. Right-click the device you have selected and click Update Driver 

The device you have chosen to update right-click on it, a window with various options will be shown, scroll down to the ‘Update driver option, and click on it. Automatically, your device checks to see if there are any latest updates installed.

How to Reinstall the device driver

  1. In the search bar, you type “Device Manager” and press enters key on your laptop/PC.
  2. Right-click on that driver, you want to uninstall it.
  3. After that Restart your PC.
  4. After that windows will attempt to Reinstall the driver.
